“ I tried two dishes for the first time, so have nothing really to compare the dishes too. The Gator bites were delicious and is quite a dry white meat-the rub and accompanying sauce were welcome condiments. The catfish sandwich was something to itself. Very much a bottom-feeder with a moderate "muddy" odor. It was something I am glad I tried, but likely will not try again, but that is more a reflection of my personal taste and less on the restaurant's food. All in all the service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming New Orleans vibe. ”
“ Wonderful service and great food! Absolutely the best beer battered fried pickles I've ever had! The oysters were great too! ”
“ Such a great spot out of town. Definitely more of a locals place but we got lucky and found it. Only open 3 days a week. Go early, they get busier as the night goes on. Food was excellent and service was even better. If you like southern seafood this is the spot. We're from Georgia and it's the closest we've come to Southern cooking out West. ”
“ Jessica was our server. She was prompt, friendly, and helpful. She took extra time with us and made us feel special. The food was outstanding! ”
“ Ice cold fresh oysters on the half shell. We also had the Friday catfish special. It was delicious. Came with fresh fries and really good coleslaw. We'll make it our place in Durango when drive from our home in Ridgway for sure. ”
“ This place is down right amazing! Taste buds in overdrive. Chicken fried chicken and collard greens. Please! Enough to share. Fresh cut fries! We are here for 6 days. We will be back! We are from Texas! So you know the chicken fried chicken has to be the bomb if we like it! ”
“ Had an amazing dinner here. Can’t believe we’ve waited this long to try it! Tried the Crawfish etouffee, Halibut special, and oysters on the half shell. Don’t wait - go today! ”
“ Almost hesitant to recommend this, truly unique and iconic spot. I’ve been coming here for almost 15 years, and it remains superb and entirely consistent. I LOVE Highway 3!! Absolutely great food, and enough variety on the New Orleans style menu for everyone to find something they will want. And, of course, the essentially perfect hurricane cocktail. The owner is iconic as well and greets you as you walk in, a true gentleman, and extremely gracious. But be forewarned, this establishment is only open from 4 PM to 8 PM Wednesday through Friday. The desserts are also amazing, highlighted by the light and perfectly created beignets. The indoor - outdoor dining experience is also excellent, with a wide variety of options. Truly a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!! ”
